PARTY: Dec. 17th, Rinsed
It’s been a whole year. A year of blood rain and debauchery, a year of fake subway posters and controversial bathroom drawings, of sweaty dancing and sex dolls. Frankly it’s been the best year of our lives. So we’re celebrating it the only way we know how. A filthy, dirt-cheap dance party. If you’ve been to Rinsed you already know what we’re talking about, if you haven’t it’s high time you find out for yourself.
We started Rinsed last December with a simple mission: to provide a proper pretense-free dance party that would be affordable for everyone. Fast forward a year later and we think we’ve done just that. When you walk into Rinsed you aren’t walking into a club, you’re walking into a space that was designed to provoke the wildest version of yourself, a place created for you to lose your inhibitions and dance. The decor is a constantly evolving project that changes monthly. Over the year we’ve had graffiti, snakes, sex dolls, special effects, un-identified flying lights, shower curtains, umbrellas, lasers and too many more to name. This month our aesthetics guru A Pop is working on a plan so outrageous she’s deemed it classified, we don’t even know what to expect. But we do know it will be amazing.
For our birthday we’ll be having a special guest DJ: Braille (Hotflush Recordings). Also known as Praveen Sharma, the man is half of Sepalcure and stands just as strong on his own with productions like A Meaning and Break Up. When it came down to picking a guest for Rinsed, it was obvious. Praveen, Blacky II, and I (Dan Wender) will be spinning futuristic house, bass, and some wild cards all night long. Come see what it’s all about.
